| THE BULL INN, WHERE THE PILGRIMS REST |
The Bull Inn, dating back to the year 1510, was the stopping place for Pilgrims travelling between Winchester and Canterbury. On Newick Green is an old signpost which still shows the distance of the 2 Cathedral Cities.
The name The Bull originates from a Papal Bull which is a religious edict paper.
ATTRACTIONS:
The Bull is situated very close to the famous Bluebell Railway, and has a wealth of other attractions for the hiker, fisherman or hunter.
The Piltdown Pond is close by for the avid coarse fisherman,
and Newick also offers some of the best Pheasant Shoots available. (In season).
OUR RESTAURANT:
Here at The Bull we are very proud to boast an excellent food offering. Our A'La Carte Menu is exquisite and our Bar Menu can outclass most restaurants. For that end of meal experience, our Head Chef Alex, will delight you with his own dessert creations and Chef Alex Docwra will use all of his creative talents to stimulate your taste buds.

OUR BAR:
At The Bull we have 2 bars, and in our "Snug Bar" we have a professional 7' pool table and 2 television screens for the sportsman or woman. The Main Bar is cosy and welcoming and the staff will always make you welcome. Come and try our cask ales and you will taste the finest bitters in Sussex, personally checked and conditioned to perfection by our Master of Cellars himself, our landlord Jon Williams.
ACCOMODATION:
The Pilgrim Rest is the original coaching barn which has been converted according to all regulations, to create 8 beautiful bedrooms, each with it's own hand painted mural depicting one of the Pilgrims from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
The rooms are all en-suite with open beams, and are fully self contained with no time restriction once check in has been made.
The Bull offers check in facility between the hours of 2pm until 9pm unless previously arranged with owner Jon Williams.
